Mount Browne, Guildford – Surrey Constabulary Roll of Honour

004

My friend Duncan* is getting somewhat agitated with me because in recent months, every time he visits this site, the number of posts in the ‘Surrey’ category remains constant at 99.  But no longer.  Finally, this is Surrey post 100.

*He is visible in the photo above.  At least a part of him is.  Best leave it there, I think.

“Dulce et Decorum est Pro Patria Mori.”  Inscribed without irony.  Noah Smithers, whose name appears on the Roll of Honour, is my missus’ Great Uncle, hence the reason for our visit.

Well spotted me.

Many thanks to Audrey (Noah’s niece, in lilac) for arranging and inviting, and the Surrey Police for allowing.
