Zantvoorde British Cemetery – Part Two

A few weeks before Christmas, the family Baldrick & I revisited* Zandvoorde and the British cemetery there.  Last time it was a beautiful summer’s day, blue sky, fluffy white clouds.  Not so nice today, but a good opportunity nonetheless to rectify some omissions from our previous visit.

The road to Zandvoorde from the north.  The spire of Zandvoorde Church can be seen (on the horizon in the centre of the photograph), as can the slight ridge upon which the village itself sits, a ridge that the British were striving so hard to defend in late October 1914.
