Could you tell me why this memorial to the two world wars has 1914 to 1919 ? I know the 1939 to 1945 is correct . I’m looking at memorial at this moment so I would really like to know .

Certainly can Paul. Although the actual fighting stopped on November 11th 1918, the Treaty of Versailles, officially ending the War, was not signed until 28 June 1919 (exactly five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand). Hence you will quite often find memorials with the dates 1914 – 1919.
