The burial plot for men from R.N.A.S. Culdrose, just down the road; some of these burials are post-Second World War.
The headstones to the right of the Culdrose Plot are all Second World War burials, including six Czechs who flew and died with the R.A.F. You can find details of all the British Second World War burials in the cemetery here: Helston Cemetery and if you wish to view the individual headstones in the plot pictured above, then just click here: Individual Headstones

Hi,
My name is Marion and I live inQueensland, Australia. My husband and I will be visiting Cornwall and England in May this year. I have recently undertaken family research and I am seeking the location of graves of my ancestors – surnames of MOYLE, BORLASE, HORNBLOWER, GRENFELL. My gg and ggg grandfather were named Matthew and Matthew Paul Moyle. Matthew Paul Moyle was born in 1788 and died in 1880 in Helston, Cornwall. I have been searching for my relatives’ graves for many months but without much success. It would make them seem so much closer if I am able to find and visit their graves.
I am hoping that you may be able to assist me in this search so that I am able to make these visits on our trip.
Many and sincere thanks in advance
Kind regards
Marion
Marion, I am afraid that I was just visiting Helston whilst on holiday when I took these photos so I really can’t help you. Get in touch with the local history society who I’m sure will be happy to offer you advice. Also find out who holds the Parish records so that you can arrange to see the registers on your visit (they may be available online anyway). Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip.
