Stoke-sub-Hamdon – St. Mary’s Church

Private Bullock was one of the victims of what became known as the Ballygawly Bus Bombing when, on August 20th 1988, eight soldiers from 1st Battalion the Light Infantry were killed, and others terribly injured, when a landmine exploded at Curr near Ballygawly roundabout, County Tyrone, as they were travelling by coach back to their base in Omagh from the airport at Alderstone.  They had all just returned from leave.  What a difference a day makes.
