The Daily Postcard No. 34

Aw.  Cute or what?

On occasions, the writers give a hint of life at the front.  The reverse of this card, written on 10th June 1916, belies the obverse; ‘…have been away from the corps in a pretty warm spot…’.

That is absolutely the cutest and the one, I would buy it, sounds like the type he sends her? Yes quite clever how they hint to where they have been.

Can’t believe Sid I’ve beaten you to it today, perhaps cute pussy cats not your thing. Or are you rejoicing in your new found freedom and crossed the state line.

Funny, I completely missed the kitty in the basket the first time I saw this. Possibly because theres so much black in the photo my brain just bypassed it, possibly wine related. Either way, very cute kittens.
No.7 Story Street, Hull sadly no longer exists. It is now a very substantial health centre.

I just like the fact that once out of his ‘pretty warm spot’ he chooses kittens for his card.
