    A most impressive memorial.
So many names – and still being added.

    Thank you.

It is Kath. Most impressive. I always find memorials with a figure of a soldier particularly moving. Fyi, there are 764 names in total (570 WWI), which surprised me (and Mike, who’s a local), I must say.

Thanks so much for your support.

  3. Jeff Parker says:

I am looking for records of my great grandad Frederick Parker who was living in Leamington Spa at the time of the war. He was a veteran of the Boer War and about 40 when he rejoined for WW1. We don’t know where or when he died in the war. We are not even sure of his regiment. I have searched a lot of other records ancestry.com and the NWR etc plus the commonwealth war graves site. There are names on these sites that match “F. Parker” but not enough detail to confirm it’s him. I can’t see his name in your photos. Does anyone know if it is possible that there were soldiers left off this memorial and if there are more details about them all somewhere in Leamington? I would be grateful if anyone out there can help? Thank you.

Can anyone please tell me for a Brazilian researcher anything of the family of Squadron Leader Wilfred George Joy and if they are still alive and if a picture of Joy exists
    Thank you
