     A long time ago, when I first started a Back in Blighty section, I made the following decisions: 1. if I attempted to write about each English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish church/churchyard etc I visited, then I would have so much extra research to do (which would have added, by now, an extra 400+ posts I would have had to look into and write about) I’d not have the time to research the Belgian/French cemeteries properly, and 2. so many local societies have researched their own war memorials etc that the detailed information is probably already out there, so the majority (not all, mind you) of the Blighty posts are photos only – enough for researchers or those interested to see the text and/or names on memorials etc, and then the rest is up to you.
