For those of you who spotted the plaque in the previous picture, this is what it’s all about.

A big thank you to the very nice Vicar, Ann Peters (I presume it was you), who kindly showed me where the names were inscribed and allowed me to take these photos.

The magnificent Bamburgh Castle, viewed from the churchyard of St. Aidan’s Church, Bamburgh.  The war memorial nestles in a niche carved out beneath the castle walls.
